Any racing PC games that allow you to upgrade/tune your car?
I remember the old Gran Turismo games on the Play station let you get new parts for your vehicles for like every aspect of them and tune the engine to favor acceleration over top speed and all sorts of stuff and I really liked that.... because you could turn one of the bad cars into one of the best cars... but uhm, I have not found a game since then that does that.
They just keep giving you new cars and the new ones are better so you just dump the old ones which is lame because you might like how they look more etc...
NFS upgrades are a joke tho. If you have played the gran turismo 2 game on ps you might see the difference and know what I meant. been awhile since I played either so it's hard to specify I just remember what I thought.
need for speed is not a joke as i wud say
first customization came in need for speed 5 (porsche unleashed)
u cud install custom engines, doors, panels and all...
then it came in nfs 7(underground 1)
there were upgrades which u cudn't tune much....but they were a major thing wen it came to racing
then in underground 2.....u cud tune ur car to any levels....from acceleration to top speed...torque to inertia...all the physics were defined there...u cud even test ur settings in a track...and there were different settings for each race type
in most wanted and carbon...it was almost the same with no major upgrades
in prostreet....tht was the game which lead u to professional track racing...every tuning detail defined minutely
then..undercover upgradin was a joke u can say
lets try shift....it may have some serious power of tuning in it....
after all its a track racing game...innit?
and as for other tuning games....GRID, FUEL, and some others are there
