Engine swaps are nothing new in the performance world. Sometimes the car you have in the driveway can be instantly transformed by swapping a different engine.
At Kermit racing, we deal exclusively with Nissan engine swaps. If we can’t do it right, we will refer you to the proper place to go.
We can source an engine for you from one of our suppliers or you can have your engine drop shipped to our shop. If you source your own engine, then we can offer no guarantees related to its condition. Any missing parts or broken pieces will need to sourced and paid for by you. Sometimes we’ll have the part in stock or can locate it within the continental U.S. Other times, we have to source it from Japan. This can mean a long delay.

If you bring us your engine, we will inspect it to identify any concerns prior to installation. This will prevent your vehicle from being out of commission for the six weeks it takes to ship the rear main seal or some other obscure part.
Part of our swap program is the production of a photo album with narrative. Along the way, you will receive emails of your project with photos to keep you apprised of the project status. This serves not only as an added value, but an insurance that we are working towards completion. When you pick up your vehicle, you will receive the album.
The swap is guaranteed to run for 3000 miles of regular driving. Racing voids this warranty. Problems arising after this period can be serviced, but at our normal shop rates.
Once the vehicle is completed, it is expected that it will be picked up and paid within five working days without prior arrangements. After this time, the vehicle will be moved to a secure storage facility and the consumer will be charged a storage fee. Vehicles left more than 45 days shall be subject to mechanic’s leans and other legal recourse.

Bought a bunch of parts and realized you do not have the time or expertise to install them. Bring them over to KERMIT Racing and we’ll put them on for you. Our normal shop rates of $60.00 per hour apply and we’ll give you a solid estimate before any work has commenced.
Warranties on parts not purchased through Kermit Racing are the responsibility of the consumer. Parts purchased and installed through KERMIT RACING offer a limited 6 month or 6000 mile warranty. This warranty is voided by racing.
Many times that $2000.00 Stand-alone ECU comes without a terminated wiring harness, meaning you have to run the cables and splice all of the connections.
Faulty or poorly calibrated sensors are the number one reason for EFI problems.
The base maps supplied with your ECU are barely enough to get you started and should be calibrated prior to driving the vehicle.
These are just a few of the things that you should consider prior to installing and tuning your vehicle. At Kermit Racing, we can do the process for you or guide you with as little or as much assistance as you need. We’ve all been in the situation where it’s cheaper to install the parts ourselves, but as are many things in life, it’s sometimes cheaper in the long run for an experienced tuner to the job first, rather than troubleshooting your mistakes later.
